Confession of Faith in God through Jesus Christ

Christian character and duty , as believers in Christ, does not call us from our business in the world, but directs us in it. In this world, a life of cares, pleasures, and sin shut out the truths of God; and it is not until God's grace makes way for acceptance of the truth into our understanding and affections may we embrace the truth. The Lord alone opens the heart to receive and believe His Word , but first we must believe. We must first believe and have faith in Jesus Christ before the Holy Spirit opens the heart to accept God's Word. God's Word encourages the sinner to transact personally with Christ as God's gift embraces him, gives himself to Christ, and takes Christ as his own.

The Word of God comes with power, because The Word in and of itself is God who has revealed Himself in His Works, especially in The Cross . God is to be believed for His Word's sake and also for His name's sake in Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ secures for the believer freedom from condemnation. Faith is the substance of things hope for and not seen; and we walk by faith and not by sight. Faith secures justification before God. It secures participation of life in Christ, which is the divine life, the righteous life . It also secures "peace with God" and sanctification The Word promises all who believe in Christ will certainly be saved.

Our past deliverances beget and increase our faith. Because we know that it was not through our own will, by our own power, in our own circumstances, our concerns, or our problems that we overcame, were delivered, and did not know how we got out of our situation(s), we know, believe, have faith and trust in the fact that if it happened once that through Jesus Christ it will happen again. Grace is the gift of unmerited, unearned favor, given by God to those of us who do not deserve His Love and His Mercy. Grace is that extra time, God grants us His grace, love, mercy, and favor to forgive our sin until we believe in Christ, have faith on Christ, confess and repent of our sinful ways.

The just shall live by faith . Faith drives the sanctification process of working out our salvation . It is by faith we are transformed by the Holy Spirit, born again Therefore, develop we a righteous lifestyle that honors God's past deliverances, by having faith in Jesus Christ; and the whosoever will partakes in the reward, gift of eternal life , of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection shall be saved.
